Stephanie Sewell, B.Ed, B.Mus.

Dandelion is delighted to welcome Stephanie Sewell as an adjunct member of its team.

Stephanie Sewell (B.Ed, B.Mus.), is an Alternative Education Consultant & Mentor who helps families create well being-focused education paths for their children. Stephanie’s current work evolved from her years as a school teacher, home/unschooling parent, children’s choir director, and Board Chair for Compass Centre for Self-Directed Learning.

Stephanie is passionate about people’s right to education - an education that respects and aligns with their wellbeing.

Her teaching experience showed her that school does not always work - for the students or their teachers. School is not the only option.

In many ways, she serves as a Guidance Counselor for those following an unconventional education path.Stephanie has been an enthusiastic supporter of Dandelion since its opening, and several of her clients have become Dandelion students.

Beginning this fall, she will offer in‑person mentoring sessions at Dandelion every Thursday. She also provides parent, teen, and child sessions in Chelsea, as well as online parent sessions via Zoom. You can reach out to Stephanie in English ou en français directly by email, or read on for more information.

Elaine Comeau, Art Instructor

Elaine brings over 20 years experience in teaching fine arts, perspective drawing and rendering for interior designers/decorators, colour theory, and  art history. She is mostly self-taught with many art courses taken over the years. Her formal education is in Interior Design, a profession she has enjoyed for many years.

Elaine has a gift for inspiring others to be creative (which inspires her in turn) and explore many different types of art using a variety of mediums.

We are thrilled to launch this partnership with Elaine and provide enriching art programming for all Dandelion students!
